Didn’t you know? The Goldbach conjecture is directly applicable to sponginess in snack foods.

By strange coincidence both the Goldbach Conjecture and the problem of determining whether or not an air bubble in a Twinkie is likely to be connected to the outside world are both listed here. (The Twinkie problem is, to a half reasonable approximation, number 16 on that list.)
