Somewhat a shame it doesn't mention the work of Gowers and Maurey at all. Given this it's the most exciting thing to happen in basis theory in a while, and the statements are rather natural, and easy to understand (the proofs are, well, enough to contribute to winning a Fields Medal).

Here we are in the Year of Our Lord 2008, and when a math blog gives an elementary reference about bases, what should show up except a pdf document! Holy puking paralysis, Batman! Why not a parchment scroll ? Why not some scribbling in the sand?

Enough about exposition! Let's get back to grinding those diagrams!
