We’ve just had our first really serious flame war. While I respond to flame wars the way most people do — taking sides and flinging insults, I decided to resist my natural inclinations. As an experiment, I have hidden the inflammatory comments to let things cool off.

Please keep this anonymous. I very much enjoyed reading the discussion about time and linearity by people who had concepts way beyond what my “liberal arts” education could provide. On the one hand, I wish I understood what all of you were talking about. On the other hand, I did get a glimpse of what you were referring to. It was very exciting. Thank you for eliminating the all too human inflammatory comments. It was a pleasure to read intense arguments that did not introduce unpleasant irrelevancies.
You do have an audience (of at least one) who is a hopeless neophyte, but is immensely appreciative of what you talk about.
