This is a topic I’ve never realized I’d be interested in until now. Thanks for posting this. I’m a bit weak on statistics unfortunately, but this paper still looks like it’s brimming with some neat ideas.
I frown on making fun of names (my first being often misspelled, my middle being often rendered “von”, and my last being punned upon), but I not only made the same misreading as Prof. John Baez, but simultanously read “Boucheron” as “Bouchercon” — that being an annual Mystery fiction convention named after Anthony Boucher (rhymes with voucher).
Bela?
Still undead?
Just like Peter Murphy’s career.
Thanks for posting this. It’s a nice read.
I’m sorry, but I’m not a fan of “hip hop” or whatever it is that you kids listen to these days.

Thanks for posting this, I’m now learning statistics!
