Math GIFs

Here is a page with individual GIFs/PNGs for each math symbol. This is useful for the occasional inclusion of math formulas on a web page, for example. It also has directions on how to build more complex formulas using just HTML. The page is part of the Metamath project.

  1. Thank you! If I had a dime for each time I searched for a symbol in the middle of blogging or emailing…

  2. I think using services for automatically generating PNG/GIF images from URLs containing LaTeX is an orders of magnitude more sane approach.

For example, using CodeCogs, one can construct the URL

    http://latex.codecogs.com/png.latex?2^{\aleph_0}=\aleph_1

that can be rendered anywhere you can include an image:

  3. (Apparently the comment section doesn’t allow including images, and doesn’t understand the “code” tag, but the area of applicability is still the same or wider as for the topic tool.)

  4. [...] I just read that there is a collection of Math-GIFs for mathematical symbols. [...]
