Here is a page with individual GIFs/PNGs for each math symbol. This is useful for the occasional inclusion of math formulas on a web page, for example. It also has directions on how to build more complex formulas using just HTML. The page is part of the Metamath project.

I think using services for automatically generating PNG/GIF images from URLs containing LaTeX is an orders of magnitude more sane approach.
For example, using CodeCogs, one can construct the URL
http://latex.codecogs.com/png.latex?2^{\aleph_0}=\aleph_1that can be rendered anywhere you can include an image:
(Apparently the comment section doesn’t allow including images, and doesn’t understand the “code” tag, but the area of applicability is still the same or wider as for the topic tool.)
