This thing was vandalized by local eco-terrorists who didn’t want a humongous kitchen-implement defacing their beloved canal, and after I got over my original gee-whiz how-did-they-do-that reaction (who knew the Falkirk wheel included a planet carrier?), and looked at a few other sections of the Forth Canal, like this and this, I have to agree with their taste, if not their methods.
Yes, because there’s only enough room in the world for either naturalism or technology, but never both.
And never mind all the technology it takes to render those beautiful photographs from the not-quite-so-flawless realities they depict.
Don’t they usually use locks to solve problems like this?
